They sew little bags with colourful silk cloth\, fill the bags with perfumes or herbal medicines\, and then string them shut with silk threads. \n\n\n\nDuring Dragon Boat Festival perfume pouches are hung around people’s wrists\, bags\, or tied to the front of a garment as an ornament. The perfume pouches are said to protect people from evil or bad luck. \n\n\n\nWe will teach you how to make your own perfume pouches! This vibrant and joyful occasion is not only a time to give thanks for the bountiful harvest but also an opportunity for families and communities to come together\, share stories\, and create lasting memories.  \n\n\n\nKoreans celebrate Chuseok by making special foods\, particularly a certain kind of rice cake called songpyeon. Songpyeon is made with finely ground new rice and the dough is kneaded into small round shapes and filled with sesame seeds\, chestnuts\, red beans\, or other similar ingredients. Koreans traditionally give thanks for the harvest and make songpyeon with the new rice from that years’ crop. The event features a range of activities and exhibits\, including Japanese food\, anime\, manga\, sake tasting\, traditional arts and crafts\, and technology. \n\n\n\nIt also showcases a variety of performances\, such as live music\, dance\, and fashion shows\,  the opportunity to try out Japanese video games and cosplay. \n\n\n\nYou will be stepping into the world of Japanese culture\, the bright\, contrasting colours of cosplays\, kimonos\, yukata\, and the many distinct fashion genres hailing from the centre of Tokyo are an energising sight. The perfume pouches are said to protect people from evil or bad luck. \n\n\n\nWe will teach you how to make your own perfume pouches!
