Qixi (七夕节), often known as the Chinese Valentine’s Festival, is a celebration of love, longing, and timeless devotion inspired by one of China’s most beautiful legends.
It tells the story of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, two lovers separated by the Milky Way who are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.
In the spirit of Qixi, a romantic festival celebrating love and connection, fragrant perfume pouches (香包, xiāng bāo) make a meaningful handmade gift for loved ones. Filled with aromatic herbs , these small sachets are believed to symbolise affection, protection, and good fortune.
